willow & claude is a short documentary film and knitwear collection, created by non-for-profit Collective Fashion Justice. We work to create a fashion system which values the life of all animals, human and non-human, and the planet.
Through the project we see that there is no place for cruel and unsustainable animal materials in fashion’s future. We see that moving away from wool and replacing it with plants, like cotton, is integral to the protection of animals and the planet. We see that supporting Australian farmers, Australian workers, and Australian fair wages and labour, are critical. They also makes for beautiful, long lasting clothes.
All of the profits from the sale of willow & claude knitwear go to Collective Fashion Justice’s work for a total ethics fashion system.
We hope through this project people fall in love with plant-based clothing, but far more, we hope to propel forward real change in the Australian fashion system.
It’s time to move forward, and to do so with kindness.
